Since 2023, Sindbad Group has expanded its maritime business through a structured growth strategy, scaling an internationally active bulk shipping portfolio anchored in Oman.
Commercial operations began in June 2023 with a clear focus: enabling global bulk carriers to operate under the Omani flag. Sindbad provides the regulatory, structuring, and maritime infrastructure that allows international customers to deploy and manage their fleets while remaining registered in Oman.
The portfolio has grown rapidly—from OMR 201 million at the end of 2023, to OMR 286 million in 2024, and OMR 462 million (~USD 1,200 million) by the end of 2025—representing a compound annual growth rate of approximately 52%.
All vessels are permanently registered under the Omani flag and operate globally, including through temporary flag arrangements where commercially required. The expansion has enhanced the international visibility of Oman's maritime registry while supporting local professional services and employment, illustrating the practical execution of Oman Vision 2040 objectives.
Alongside cargo vessels, Sindbad has been actively developing adjacent business lines, including fishing fleets, aircraft chartering, and automotive fleet operations, with the latter focused in Africa. This diversification reflects a broader strategy of building scalable businesses across transport and logistics sectors.
